Oslo-listed jackup rig operator Shelf Drilling has received contracts for 2 items offshore Nigeria.

The 1981-built and 2014-upgraded Adriatic I has been mounted to an unnamed shopper for 16 months. The deal will hold the unit busy till February 2025.

In the meantime, the 2010-built Shelf Drilling Mentor has been secured for eight months and will likely be utilised till June 2024. 

Each rigs got here off their earlier contracts in September and are set to begin their new campaigns in October.

The mixed contract worth for the 2 rigs has been estimated at about $93m, excluding mobilisation and demobilisation.

Based in 2012, Dubai-based Shelf has one of many largest jackup fleets, with 36 items working throughout the Center East, Southeast Asia, India, West Africa, the Mediterranean and the North Sea.
